LI-ion battery benefits for your 4XX-4XXX model Roomba and Dirt Dog

There are a multitude of benefits to consider when deciding to purchase and install a LI-ion battery into your Roomba.  The battery can be charged using the existing power supply that came with your Roomba as well as the home base or even the external Rapid Charger.  Each cell within the pattery pack contains a power control board that controls charging and discharging current and therefore cannot be damaged by leaving on the charger.  The LI-ion battery life cycle is about twice the stock NiMH battery.  This battery does not generate heat during discharge or charging.  The LI-ion battery is lighter so the drive wheel motors use less current demand and don't have to work as hard during a cleaning mission.
